Summer Camps (Pony & Farm Camp)

The summer riding adventure is a hands-on horse experience that covers safety both on and around horses and ponies. We also cover the handling/grooming of horses as well as the ok parts of the horse and various types of tacks. All of our helpers are CPR & First Aid Certified!

Our days consist of a morning riding session which includes learning to tack up the horse in both English & Western tack. Our riders then enjoy lunch followed daily by a horse related craft and hippology lesson. Once lunch has been completed, an afternoon riding session is started for more fun and excitement! Throughout the week, riders will also gain knowledge on the nutrition and healthcare of horses.

On Thursdays of every week, the afternoon is spent doing a craft and practicing demonstrations that show off everything they’ve learned throughout the week.

Friday Show Day!

Every Friday afternoon (during an riding adventure session), High Ridge Farm LLC provides a day for parents, relatives and friends to enjoy a pizza lunch and view the newly learned knowledge of their riders. Riders will do demonstrations on various aspects of caring for a horse, as well as show off their riding skills in a Horse Show. We encourage families and friends to attend the eventful afternoon. We also encourage anyone who plans to attend to bring your lawn chairs!

Summer Pony Camp occurs Monday – Friday of select weeks, from 9am – 4pm. (half day camp is recommended for children ages 7 and younger)

Each participant will need to bring a lunch Monday-Thursday; pizza will be provided on Friday.
